                Hi Cosmo,

I´ve found this page just now. Even I heard of Kálmán Banyák,he must be phenomenal. There are many stories of him, he has a brother in Hungary, his name Nándor Banyák. Could you send me too some mp3?
I´m hungarian violinist (not gypsy) and I admire good gypsy violinists.

I did know this violinist I used to live in Las Vegas where he lived the last part of his life. He died suddenly of a heart attack, left a family of 2 children and wife behind. He was amazing, played classical recitals and of course gypsy music. He had a few students I was privileged to study with him about 8 months...Do you have his recording? Sincerely member Jamie M

I played together with Kálmán Banyák's brother, Nándor Banyák in Germany from 1982 to 1985. Please send me any MP3, perhaps Nándor does not know them. I would like to bring joy to him with them.

I must check out this Banyak! He sounds like a tremendous talent. I recommend Joshua Bell if you want to hear an incredible virtuoso, he rips through a Paganini solo with such passion. I've heard him play a wide array of music including gypsy style, and even Blue-Grass, all with the same crispness, and enthusiasm. See him on Youtube.
